The song is about me expressing the day to day challenges about making music and going through life as an upcoming artist. Making music in the industry can be hard and come with a lot of pressures. I decided to explore that by kind of laying everything out in a sort of rant format and just talking about a lot of the things I as an upcoming artist experience. Things like animosity, the fight for status or aura or motion, genuine support, fake support, copying, finding yourself, your sound and things of that nature are all topics explored and laid out throughout the track. I wanted to give a fast pace viewpoint whilst still being able to rant and speak my mind. The song is also a fusion of different genres. It has aspects of hip hop, melodic rap, garage and house. The music video incorporated a lot of fast switches and pacy movements to give off the impression of pressure and a fast pace environment. I filmed the music video in Auckland city, using the aesthetics of the architecture and buildings to my advantage.
