MyNamePhin – Pimp Talk

In his new music video “Pimp Talk,” Private Club artist MyNamePhin and his crew bask in the sunshine on a roof overlooking an expansive vista of hilly farmland. The sun sets, and they head inside and continue to indulge in earthly pleasures: weed, Hennessy, and 2 Live Crew videos.

Phin feels at home rapping over a wistful summer guitar, and like any good writer, he paints simple but vivid pictures with his words: “I’m laughing and getting faded / record it and watch it later,” he says. “Outfit from the thrift store / except the kicks they finished though / I did pay a pretty penny for ’em.”
