“Take a peek inside the dossier of a recluse who ain’t gonna pretend a serving size is a teaspoon.”
At the beginning of the summer, your favorite lyricist announced his signing to Mello Music Group. Now, as the summer is coming to an end, Homeboy Sandman is ready to officially announce his debut Mello Music album Dusty. The new album is produced entirely by Mono En Stereo whose production credits range from Mos Def to Action Bronson-and of course the duo’s previous EP Kool Herc: Fertile Crescent. The new album finds Boy Sand dusting off his impulses and desires, letting his id take charge. Aside from the Quelle Chris & Your Old Droog guest spots on “Lookout,” the Queens emcee handles the fifteen track solo in what can be described as at the pinnacle of his prowess.
Today, Boy Sand premieres the visual for the album’s first single, “Far Out,” with Brooklyn Vegan and also announced the initial stops for his forthcoming east coast tour with additional support from Billy Woods, Quelle Chris & Elucid. The “Far Out” video is just that, as it features Sandman astral traveling thru space. “I mean, I’m pretty out there” Sandman commented to Brooklyn Vegan.
Tickets for Homeboy Sandman’s Dusty Tour can be purchased at homeboysandman.com.
Homeboy Sandman’s Dusty will be released on 10-18-19 via Mello Music Group.
