Emerging hip hop artist Spade Melo released the visuals for his follow up single “Bottom” off his debut EP Aces High which is set to release this fall. “Bottom” comes on the heels of Spade’s well received debut single “Derrick Rose” which is also featured on Apple Music’s The New South playlist. Both songs showcase the grit and versatility Melo has mastered over the years.
Gritty yet sultry, Melo’s musical style seamlessly blends hip hop and trap with a touch of r&b and soul. His voice is simply undeniable, even as he raps about his humble beginnings or serenading a young woman with trap lyrics. The visuals for “Bottom” take you on a nostalgic joyride down memory lane of Spade Melo’s neighborhood and friends. It brilliantly showcases the oxymoron of being a man from the “bottom” (his hood) rocking “red bottoms” (Louboutin). It’s not hard to relate.
