Felly unveils “StIll Young,” a carefree track that celebrates life and vitality, no matter the age. Out alongside a visual that was shot in Jamaica and dreamt up by Felly himself, “Stay Young” is a tantalizing addition to a new chapter of Felly, while still having nods to his original sound. The video further encompasses Felly’s organic essence and spirit — Being “still young” doesn’t just incorporate the typical acts of celebration and the occasional scandalous decision making, it also means freedom, being on the go, and taking in the various experiences that life has to offer.
“When Chris first contacted me about this video, he said something along the lines of, “Let’s just try and have as much fun as possible and film it all.” – co-director Zac Jones shares.
The visuals are delivered deliberately and artistically to create an experience that only Felly and friends could birth.
“Stay Young” also arrives with the announcement of the artist signing to 300 Entertainment. Joining the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Highly Suspect, Anna of the North and more, Felly is set to make his mark in the industry and continue an already successful musical journey.
Of the track, Felly states “I made Still Young while visiting Miami to work on my album. It was the first song I did there and happened within an hour just off the energy. I think within the first 5 minutes of the session. I’ve gotten used to recording in home studios where the hours are more relaxed so when I clock in the studio i really just wanna get to working – which is what we did.
I feel like the song really bridges the gap between the newer sounds I’ve been getting to with guitar and the older raw energy flows – the flows that got me here. we must have made like 6-8 songs that week in Miami but it cause of the FEEL that I wanted to run with Still Young. Turning off your mind and letting your body feel is everything. I also ripped a solo at the end, which felt good after all that rapping”
Felly previously took fans on a ride with the release of “Fast Car”. The track serves as a reflection of fast-moving times and taking the time to slow down, which the pandemic inherently allowed for him and the rest of the world to do. Watch the video here. Fans can now look forward to a new body of work from Felly, is new album is coming this fall!
ABOUT FELLY:
Felly, a rockstar in a hip hop time, hails from Trumbull, Connecticut where he began making music between the ages of 13 and 14 after striking inspiration from his father’s untimely death. Felly takes being a student of his craft quite seriously, as he went on to study music business at University of Southern California and founded his own record label, 2273 Records (the number of his dorm room). He likes to view his life as a vacation, and this mentality paired with his inspirations are made evident in his music, as he achieves a unique flavor that blurs the lines between rap and consciousness.
His commitment to music has gained him a social media following of over 300,000, 35 million views on Youtube, 1.3M+ monthly listeners, and has delivered him notable features from Ari Lennox, Jack Harlow and Carlos Santana. In addition, Felly has performed in over 5 nation-wide tours and has been covered by Billboard, XXL, Hot New Hip Hop, Lyrical Lemonade, Hypebeast and more. With all of these accolades, Felly still has something to prove and more vibes to deliver–expect more from the artist soon.
