Southern Songstress Hannah Monds joined Tennessean artist Jozzy, Diddy’s newest protege, at House of Noir in Hollywood for “Motion Fridays” last week with hosts Sincere Show, Chris Alexander and Maine Event. Monds had a lot to celebrate as her collab with the late legend Gangsta Boo, “Big Momma,” cements her status as a Top 20 billboard songstress/raptress. Never losing sight of the legacy blessing of the “Big Momma” featured artist, Gangsta Boo, Hannah shared a pretty emotional moment on DJ Nina 9 “The Ride” Sirius XM radio recently.
“Big Momma” is full of Southern flavor, and it reflects the vibe of her forthcoming EP which will be her official introduction as an artist. Hannah Monds has been preparing this special collection of songs to express her roots and identity, but there’s multiple sides to that identity. Just like her now infamous GRAMMY dress which was Southern Belle-Meets-Bondage, Monds puts her own spin on what we think of as Southern. “There’s layers to me, and while this is just an introduction of who I am, I think there’s no better way than to show where I come from. But I’m the the type of artist where I have so many different types of records, and I plan to EVOLVE over time. I wouldn’t want anyone to expect that Southern vibe all the time.” With talent in music, acting, fashion and more, the release of her EP will no doubt make Hannah Monds a household name.
