Today, Memphis hitmaker NLE Choppa recruits Sexyy Red for the raunchy and unfiltered official remix of his lusty anthem “SLUT ME OUT” on NLE Entertainment/Warner Records. The music video is equally wild.
On the remix, NLE Choppa brings bars that’ll make even the boldest among us blush. However, St. Louis’ “it girl” Sexyy Red ups the ante with all kinds of NSFW requests of her own. Her commanding delivery drives head-turning bars before the chantable chorus kicks in. This climactic collaboration finds these 21st-century young adult stars at their most unrestrained and unfiltered—and there’s nothing better!
In the video, Choppa plays at a pool party as his sexual fantasies run wild with Sexyy Red and Sukihana. Watch the Waterwippinevan-directed NSFW video above.
The original “SLUT ME OUT” has impressively racked up over 132 million streams and counting, in addition to nearly 6 million YouTube views on the music video. Additionally, he just dropped “AIN’T GONNA ANSWER” with Lil Wayne, which is the most added single at radio with more than 4.3 million streams and received critical acclaim from Complex and BET while REVOLT noted, “On the track, NLE Choppa channels his inner Weezy energy,” and UPROXX hailed it as, “an anthem for the ages.”
Everything sets the stage for the release of his much-anticipated new album, COTTONWOOD 2, on April 14.
“AIN’T GONNA ANSWER” arrived in a matter of weeks after his hard-hitting anthem “MO UPFRONT,” the triumphant “CHAMPIONS” and defiant “23.” Since topping Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart for a record-breaking 24 weeks in 2019, cracking the Billboard 200 top 10 with 2020’s “Top Shotta,” and earning a spot on last year’s Billboard 21 Under 21 list, his star has continued to rise.
Now, Choppa’s using his platform of over 35 million combined followers to inspire and advocate for the youth through his “NLE Reading Challenge,” vegan & holistic lifestyle, and social activism.
Choppa never stops, and COTTONWOOD 2 finds him running at full speed towards the top in 2023.
ABOUT NLE CHOPPA:
Despite being just 20 years old, NLE Choppa, one of the most electric rappers of his generation, has worked hard to become a pillar of his community. So while there are plenty of numbers that could quantify his success—his 13 RIAA-certified plaques and more than 5 billion global streams—it’s possible he prefers another one: 26 million. That’s how many words the kids at one Memphis elementary school read this year as part of his Needs Learning Everyday challenge. Raised on the city’s East side, Choppa broke through in 2019 with the Platinum-certified “Shotta Flow,” a muscular blend of menace and sheer personality that became his trademark. Since then, he’s garnered acclaim from the New York Times, Forbes, GQ, and Billboard, among other outlets, including XXL, which put him on its 2020 Freshman list. 2020, also saw the release of his top 10 debut album, Top Shotta. Choppa is a unique cocktail of cutting-edge street rap with a pop sensibility, and he drops music at a breakneck pace. But this hardly means he’s stuck on the same ideas. As he’s continued to serve Memphis (see his This Can’t Be Vegan food company), his music dives into his past and psyche, growing more poised and thoughtful seemingly by the month. His most recent project, Me Vs. Me, was his most richly detailed yet, tracing the tragic and triumphant arcs he’s seen around him from 21st-century Memphis back to Biblical times. While his serrated style might seem at odds with his open-heartedness off the mic, they are simply different embodiments of the same drive and lust for life. Choppa’s highly anticipated new album Cottonwood 2 will be released April 14, 2023, via NLE Entertainment/Warner Records.
