BigXthaPlug continues his hot streak. Today, the exciting upstart returns with his raw and unfiltered new track “Boy” featuring Big Yavo. The rising MC’s second single release of 2023 finds him beaming with confidence as he narrates his story of hustling on the come up.
“Boy” is accompanied by a poolside visual, directed by 6K Jefe, that captures the kind of carefree vibe that makes for summer fun. Watch above. In it, BigX and Yavo go big on big, trading verses at a breakneck pace while a punchy trap beat (that pays homage to Cam’Ron’s 2002 Grammy-nominated single “Oh Boy”) plays the backdrop.

BigX has been on a tear since the release of his seminal debut album, Amar (Feb 10) – which has topped Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, with four consecutive weeks at #1. For starters, the Texas Ranger’s used “Texas” in their ‘City Connect’ jersey reveal back in April, and the song has been used across the NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB. Not to mention, he recently penned a hit for the tenth Fast & Furious film, Fast X, pairing up with Cootie & 1017 Records signee BiC Fizzle for “Supafly.”
Earlier this month, BigX announced his headlining ‘Don’t Mess With Texas’ tour with support from buzzing rapper Big Yavo. The 11-date run kicks off on July 23rd in Miami, Florida with a performance at Rolling Loud Miami 2023, and will make landfall across major U.S. cities including Washington, D.C., New York, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up in Austin Texas on October 7th.
