Shaun Sloan – Victory

LA rapper Shaun Sloan released his anticipated new project, Tell Victory I Love Him today via EMPIRE. The 10-song offering features production from Trademark (Trippie Red, G Herbo, French Montana, Lil Durk, King Von) , Faxx Only (Drake, J.Cole, Rob Banks) and Chrxs; as well as features from Chicago heavy-weight, G Herbo, and industry heatseeker, Landstrip Chip. The new project comes behind the release for the “In The Sun” visual starring G Herbo last week. ‘Tell Victory I Love Him’ is available everywhere now, watch the video for “Victory” above.

With the release of Tell Victory I Love Him, Shaun continues to carve a space out for himself in the music industry through his artistry and craft. The creation of the new project was a cathartic experience for Shaun, underscored by the lyrics heard throughout and his recently released emotion-drenched visuals. The standout track “Rhude” is a testament to his hunger and commitment to success with lines like “even on the rope, they can never hold me back…” In the LVTRKevin-directed video, we see Shaun and an iced-out G Herbo reflecting on their life experiences, pain, loss and suffering – emotions they’re all too familiar with. In The Sun came behind the visual releases for “Tell Victory I Love Him”, and “Church At Midnight” – both also found on the forthcoming project – which have quickly racked up nearly 1M combined views to date.

Pain and suffering have never been foreign to Shaun. A resilient father and provider, Shaun has channeled his lifelong trauma and pain into his creativity, paving a way out for his family. Signed to EMPIRE by way of an assist from fellow labelmate and bay-area rapper, Mozzy, Shaun continues to cement himself as a rising star with every new release. After supporting both of G Herbo’s recent tours (“PTSD” and “25”) Shaun released two back-to-back, emotion-drenched projects throughout the pandemic, Life Is Life (2020) and Pain Purposes Only (2021), laying the foundation for his current ‘Artist To Watch’ status. Fueled by the pain and trauma of his chronic illness, Shaun continues to pour into his craft and is poised to have a breakout year.
