“This is me thinking about my younger self. And how much thing that should have changed. Are just the same today in new packaging. This song is a few segments of my life saga growing up. Me and my brother Huey filmed it right when I returned home to Detroit from my last overseas tour. Went on a dream cruise in our neighborhood we spend most of our youth and found a nightmare. Our elementary school (Coolidge Elementary) was a wide open Bando. And so was our neighborhood Rec Center O’Shea. As I’m just Returning from where abandon houses are very few yet there are still homeless problems. Never an abandoned school, unless it was wrecked during a passed war. And the reason our homes and school are like a wasteland are from pass wars as well. Really had me thinking about the many cycles in our world. That 24th hour setting to do an equal share of time. It’s the us, the ppl that adds to these seconds, minutes, hours, & days. The power is in our hands…ERYDAY!
