On Thursday evening in the stylish and swaggering Sayers Club in Hollywood, RED MUSIC artist Diimond Meeks belted the lyrics at his world premiere of his new single, “Loose Me”, to a packed audience of fans, fellow label artists, and celebrity guests. Friends of the artist including “Big Hero 6” Star Jamie Chung and “How to Make It in America” beau Bryan Greenberg, “Typical Psycho” singer Katie Welch and “The Magicians” Lead Andrew James Allen were among the many who showed up to support Meeks, whose performance jolted the room and became an instant fan favorite. Accompanied by a stunning music video, curtain drops and fog machines added to the theatrics that took backstage to Meeks symphonies and vocal range. Following Diimond’s performance, Greenberg shared the stage with a performance celebrating the artist.
Diimond Meeks, formerly known as Dezmond Meeks, is an award winning producer, songwriter, actor, dancer and multi-instrumentalist, known for his over the top stage presence, flamboyant style and broad five octave vocal range. His unique sound, fusing pop, rock, soul, funk and EDM, landed him a deal with Sony Music/Mothership Entertainment (CeeLo Green). Born in Louisiana, he made his national television debut in 2005 as a contestant on the 4th season of American Idol and again in 2011 on the 6th season of Americas Got Talent, ahead of his debut full length album “Cinderfella” in 2012. Diimond releases his first official single for Sony Music’s RED MUSIC, “Loose Me” feat. CeeLo Green, on Friday, May 18th. The track, also co-produced by CeeLo Green, is his first release under his official new name as Diimond Meeks.
