With his release of the 12-track mixtape Corner Stories in February, Don Q established himself as one of the most exciting rappers in New York City and one of the genre’s potential breakout stars in 2017. Don has given HNHH the green light to premiere his new music video “Chosen One.”
The video takes the form of a collage, with thermal camera shots of Don overlaid on images of bridges, skyscrapers, and other structures native to Don Q’s native Highbridge, the Bronx neighborhood located just northwest of Yankee Stadium. The video is abridged (no second verse), but Don manages to pack an inordinate amount of confidence into 90 seconds. “My camera roll look like a porn site.”
