Gary Soulz is no stranger to the hip-hop scene, as he’s been around the past couple of years, releasing songs with the likes of Ye Ali and BJ The Chicago Kid; to name a few. Although having some success alongside those names, it was the release of Gary’s single, “Vibe,” in early 2017 that helped catapult his name. Since then, Gary has been quiet to say the least, as he only released one other single last year after “Vibe.”
Now, with 2018 just starting out, there is no better time to begin strong, and Gary Soulz is doing just that with his newest single and video release, “R.T.M.C.” (Riding Thru My City). The Bizness Boi produced track is complemented with an emotional verse, as Gary takes you through the struggle he faces in gaining support from those in the city he’s from; yet still having the faith to know that he’ll realize the vision he has for himself and for the city he calls home. Courtney Bennett, a London-based singer, assists the track as she lays down her angelic-like voice for the chorus. That’s not to mention the visuals for the song, with amazing helicopter evening shots captured of the Boston Skyline, and Gary Soulz, of course riding through his city, showing you some of the most notable Boston landmarks.
