Hit-Boy tees off Black History Month with a special three-track EP. Pairing up with frequent collaborator The Alchemist, the Grammy-nominated duo have released their new surprise project entitled THEODORE & ANDRE, out now, via Surf Club / ALC.
Arriving three days before the 66th annual Grammy Awards, Hit-Boy continues his hot streak with THEODORE & ANDRE, just weeks after releasing Paisley Dreams by Big Hit and The Game, and Big Hit’s debut album, The Truth Is In My Eyes. Following his 2023 ladder of releases SURF OR DROWN, SURF OR DROWN VOL. 2, Kings Disease III, Magic 2, Magic 3, and Victims and Villains, which earned Hit-Boy’s nomination for “Producer of The Year” and “Best Rap Album.”
The three-track EP is accompanied by a new visual, picking up where Hit-Boy and The Alchemist left off with 2023’s “Slipping Into Darkness.” They enter Terminal 27’s concealed showroom as Hit-Boy unpacks his Supreme Akai drum machine and drops the beat for “MORRISSEY” while Alchemist introduces fans to the lyrical prowess of THEODORE & ANDRE. The visual suddenly changes, transporting fans into the additional tracks “THE MAIN EVENT” and “DON’T BE GONE”. Offering a 3-for-1 music video, and an anecdotal testament to Hit-Boy and Alchemist doing things on their own time. Check out the full video above.
