Multi-talented Nashville artist Kaby shows us that the possibilities are endless with his latest release “Everything,” the first single from his forthcoming album Era Of the Try Hard. Kaby weaves together boom-bap and southern trap while cultivating an uninterrupted flow that’s hard hitting, gritty, head nodding, melodic and yet also reflective and vulnerable; basically encompassing “Everything.”
“’Everything’ is the first installment of an ongoing narrative,” explains Kaby. “On the surface “Everything” is a fever dream of self-actualization; but just beneath, it’s foreshadowing the cultivation of an idea.”
His forthcoming Era Of The Try Hard follows Kaby’s critically-acclaimed debut album H.E.R.E. that was bestowed with Nashville Scene’s “Hip-Hop Album of the Year.” The Scene proclaimed that Kaby is “one of the most promising rappers in Nashville”…”seeped in soul and simmering with boundless cool.” Each song on Try Hard finds Kaby putting a different part of his personality and talent on display. He uses his voice differently on almost every track like a one-man group.
On October 5th, hometown fans can catch Kaby at Nashville’s Breakaway Festival headlined by Wiz Khalifa, Illenium, Russ, Lil Pump and GRiZ.
