Kenyon Dixon feat. Kincy – Slow Dancing

Closely following the release of his second collaboration this year, R&B sensation Kenyon Dixon gets loose for the “Slow Dancing” video. Proving that he’s bringing back the “R&B you love,” Dixon is in the mood to get groovy with his love interest.

In the video, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter dances the night away to smooth synths and bouncy hi-hats. The 70’s inspo runs heavy as an intimate portrayal of black love is so eloquently displayed on the dance floor. Filled to the brim with undeniable soul, the track features Marcus Kincy and arrives on the heels of Dixon’s well-documented run at SXSW 2023, where he previewed the new single for a live audience.

With “Slow Dancing” the Los Angeles, California singer-songwriter proves that he’s in a class of his own. Beyond the flashy vocal runs and sticky lyricism, Dixon slows down the tempo for a bedroom jam that’s steeped in ‘90s soul with a modern twist. As R&B Kenny trades verses with Kincy, they deliver a sound that resonates with this generation – a telltale sign that the genre isn’t dead, it’s evolving.

Dixon has developed a reputation for the kind of sonic eloquence that you’d expect from an accomplished songwriter. Over the years, he’s quietly become R&B’s new obsession, working alongside industry greats like Mary J. Blige and Justin Timberlake to name a few. His distinct tone landed him on Complex’s “R&B artists to watch in 2023” list and solidified Dixon as one of the genre’s future stars.

Not to mention, Dixon landed a placement on Amazon Prime’s Harlem series (for his song “Getting Late”). Needless to say, he’s continuously expanding the range and depth of his sound while finding new ways to break the mold in R&B. If anything, “Slow Dancing” is a precursor of what’s to come as Kenyon Dixon ushers in a new era of his artistic output.

About Kenyon Dixon:
In a world where the existence of “Quality R&B” is constantly questioned, Grammy-nominated recording artist Kenyon Dixon reminds us that it is most definitely alive and thriving. As one of this generation’s accomplished songwriters – who’s worked with a range of artists from R&B legends Mary J. Blige, Tyrese, and Ginuwine to Pop superstar Justin Timberlake – Dixon has still managed to reserve some ink for his own catalog of timeless hits. He’s toured as a supporting vocalist for Nick Jonas, Jill Scott, Kelly Rowland, Kirk Franklin and more. As an independent artist, the proud Los Angeles native has smoothly transitioned to center stage and proven that he is destined to become a household name. Following the release of his 2021 LP, Expectations, the project garnered a tremendous amount of support from the industry elite such as Brandy, Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, as well as Grammy award-winning Ledisi, who Dixon joined as support on her WILDCARD tour. He later collaborated with R&B artists PJ Morton & BJ The Chicago Kid to pay homage to the King of Soul – Sam Cooke – with a remake of the soulful classic “Bring It On Home To Me.”
