Think It’s A Game/Warner Records rapper Posa teams up with TIG label mate Rubberband OG to share a story of hustling on the rise to success from the viewpoint of two Alabama rappers on a new mixtape titles 2 Sides of Da Bottom. The mixtape details the story of two Alabama lyricists striving to make their way to the top, sharing their perspective and life experiences on the good, bad and indifferent.

To celebrate the release of 2 Sides of Da Bottom, Posa and Rubberband OG dropped a music video for the track “Enemies”, also featured on the mixtape. Posa shares, “2 Sides of Da Bottom is about artists from the same state, two different cities, with one objective! Making it out da bottom! This mixtape is a classic”

2 Sides of Da Bottom follows bangers “Big Dawg” featuring Moneybagg Yo and “Dropping Jewels” both receiving acclaim from HotNewHipHop and more. Mobile, Alabama rapper Posa channels hardship into hard-hitting anthems on last year’s debut EP BOLO (Think It’s a A Game/Warner Records). Spotify featured BOLO and included the hit single “Trap Love” on their coveted Realest Down South playlist, as well as bangers “Last Day” and “Big Dawg” off their Off The Strength playlist.

Label mates, Cortez Oates p/k/a Rubberband OG and Karvin Jones p/k/a Posa, may be new to some, while considered artists on the rise by others, have created an early buzz with previous solo efforts such as the Bout That Life mixtape by Rubberband OG (TIG Records) and Posa’s first single, “In A Minute” featuring TIG label mate Q Money, followed by the 4 song introductory Bolo EP. Rubberband OG, hailing from Montgomery, has garnered over 4 million plays on Apple Music alone, meanwhile Posa from the smaller, coastal town, Mobile, has over 1.5 million video views. Both are known in Alabama with an increasing fan base throughout the Southeast, which this joint project will certainly expand the pairs’ following, lending anticipation to each artists’ solo project scheduled for Q2 2020. Whether it came from a similar upbringing or the love for music, the duo had natural chemistry in the studio. Bouncing ideas and melodies off of each other to make a strong cohesive project with a diverse subject matter that reflects both artist, 2 Sides of Da Bottom was born. With songs like ‘Burn One” both artists’ agree that “It’s one of those songs where you see so much or you’re going through so much that you just wanna burn one.” And other songs like “Enemies” where the duo alternate back and forth showcasing their unique talents all while blending together at the same time. The mixtape is set to release February, 21st of this year.
