With his tongue-in-cheek charisma and lively lyricism, Price is leading the charge for independent artists. Proving that he’s ready to act a “FOO,” the Inland Empire rapper keeps his Saggin & Braggin Campaign alive by flooding the game with new music – and new videos, too.
This time around, Price is eating Popeyes chicken, jumping fences, and keeping the good vibes on deck in his latest visual for “FOO” feat. Sage the Gemini. The Lex Macon-directed video follows Price around the city as he finds every which way to go nuts. In other words, he’s acting out of character. And yet, Price remains unbothered, going about his day as planned.
The high-energy track is the latest example of chantlike anthems that lean into Price’s meticulous approach to flood the game with content. But there’s more to unpack here. Saggin & Braggin is not just about releasing new music at a steady pace. It’s meant to represent a movement where evolution is constant and volume intersects with excellence.
“FOO” celebrates the unabashed enthusiasm that Price is known for. The sense of urgency is palpable throughout, creating the kind of storytelling that conjures up a desire to be unpredictable and sporadic.
Closely following the release of his acclaimed third studio album, No Sleep In The City – which garnered support from media outlets like Rap Radar, Uproxx, and LA Weekly to name a few – Price shut down the stage for a sold-out crowd at West Hollywood’s The Peppermint Club (March 8th) for The Manifestival’s ‘No Sleep Live’ concert.
As the CLRD. Entertainment founder delivers another speaker-knocking hit, “FOO” is a glimpse into Price’s world as a notorious rap figure, someone that’s changing the game on their own terms.
About Price:
Since his 2009 introduction into the music industry, Price (also known as Larry Belafonte) has been behind some of the biggest records in the universe – from Hit-Boy’s ‘Grinding My Whole Life’ to Travis Scott’s ‘Antidote,’ and more. Price is one of the most gifted lyricists in hip-hop. He’s a prolific songwriter, producer, programmer and bonafide hit-maker that has worked with a long list of industry greats ranging from Jill Scott, Wyclef Jean, Hit-Boy, T.I., Rick Ross, and many more. The Inland Empire rapper is also a serial entrepreneur that owns/co-owns a soul food restaurant, food truck, recording studio, sports academy, hookah lounge, clothing line, charity and music festival. In the midst of expanding his endeavors, Price was hard at work writing, producing and programming music with Grammy award-winning artists like DJ Camper, Brandy and others. In the 4th quarter of 2020, he launched his independent label CLRD. Entertainment and embarked on his solo career. With both of his introductory projects – CLRD. and F.O.E.S. – garnering millions of streams and critical acclaim, the industry quickly took notice of Price’s prowess as an emcee. So much so, that in under a year’s time Price and CLRD. Entertainment partnered with the legendary Motown records.
