Rich Homie Quan – Dark Shades

In a show of incredible musical stamina, Rich Homie Quan, releases the visuals for โ€œDark Shades,โ€ a standout track off the Atlanta nativeโ€™s latest project, Family & Mula, released via Venice Music. Directed by โ€œKrazyโ€ music video director Zac Facts, the video takes place in Quanโ€™s walk-in closet where he tries on sunglasses, metaphorically conveying how heโ€™s been able to block out the noise throughout his career.

Today, Quan also announces the release of Family & Mula Reloaded, out November 18. The extended project will include seven additional tracks that are as contemplative and melodic as the original tracklist.

Last month, the โ€œKrazyโ€ rapper dropped his highly anticipated and much-lauded project, Family & Mula. It debuted at #2 on Apple Music Hip Hop/Rap chart and has since amassed over 15M streams. Quan also released visuals for the reflective cut โ€œKno No More,โ€ which saw him reunite with Marcell JB, who also directed โ€œRisk Takers.โ€ The video, shot locally, starts with Quan playing the first few bars of the track on the piano. Much of the video takes place in and outside Quanโ€™s Atlanta home, mirroring the songโ€™s theme, an intimate look into the mind of Rich Homie Quan. With the momentum in full swing, fans were gifted visuals for โ€œAnother One.โ€ The fun and catchy hook, with the backdrop of a candy shop of sorts, celebrates abundance.

His 2018 full-length debut, Rich As In Spirit, bowed in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Pitchfork hailed the latter as โ€œa triumph of willpower and talent, a detail-oriented collection with immaculate production that rightfully reestablishes his place in rap.โ€ Taking the reins of his career as an independent creator and boss, he ignites another era with his 2022 project, Family & Mula, which arrived on his birthday October 4, 2022 under a newly minted joint venture with Venice.
