The Cali-vibed video is the first from his latest EP, Second Notice. Second Notice is the second installment of Skeme’s EP trilogy series, following the August 2017 release of the First Notice EP.
“I made this song about having no bias about a girl’s past or what she has going on at the moment, but instead we gonna have some fun…no judgment here,” says Skeme. “And I wanted the video to match that, to be fun and realistic! Really show everyone what a hot day in LA is really like.”
“I wanted to do a three-part series just to show the versatility in songs made during this album-making process,” says Skeme. “These three songs felt best for me to put out at the moment to take a step away from the hardcore music I’m known for. I’m really trying to display and incorporate my songwriting.”
Overdue is scheduled to arrive in early 2018 and it will be Skeme’s first full-length release on Entertainment One after signing with DJ Drama’s Generation Now in 2015.

Skeme’s April 2017 single “Red Coupe” has over 3 million streams on Spotify alone. Skeme also wrote and is featured on DJ Drama’s 2016 Gold single “Wishing,” which has over 39 million views on YouTube.
Since releasing his All Rap’d Up mixtape in 2010, Skeme’s popularity has been steadily rising in part to his unique, hard-hitting, yet clever lyrical implementation, which has bled over into his subsequent releases. When it comes to West Coast trap music and lyrical genius, Skeme is in a league of his own.
