Vancouver-based MC, Skulastic, releases a new music video for her second single “Curtain Raiser” off her upcoming album, “Skulastic Vol.2” set to drop in August 2022. The lyrics examine the sometimes-shady exploitive money-hungry aspects of the music industry. The beat (produced by Skulastic) is raw and gritty to say the least and Skulastic gets down to business advising the listener “All hail as I uncover the industry veil where everyone’s got a promo package for sale”. The video is sleek and simple having Skulastic portray a CEO/mob boss type character over a clean white backdrop. “Curtain Raiser” is a no nonsense song that demands attention and questions perceptions.
