Trap Beckham – Classy N Ratchet

Jacksonville native and rising hip-hop star Trap Beckham has announced the release of his upcoming EP, Happy Belated, available at all DSPs next Friday, September 28 via Stevie Stacks Entertainment/EMPIRE. This release marks the follow-up to his 2017 debut EP Life Is Lit- which spawned a new catch phrase, “Lil Booties Matter,” and featured Cardi B’s little sister and reality star Hennessy Carolina as the lead in the video- and this summer’s scorching hot Evil Emoji mixtape. Happy Belated consists of 8 high energy and infectiously catchy tracks that showcase Trap’s undeniable forte of crafting wild party anthems that will light up any dance floor.

To promote the upcoming release of Happy Belated, Trap Beckham just dropped a brand-new twerk-a-licious video for the single “Classy N Ratchet,” which was directed by Motion Minds. Earlier today, Hype Off Life premiered the new video and said, “Laying its foundation on a popular classical music sample, the “Birthday B*tch” artist rips the track with fun flows of modern day ladies in the streets, but freaks in the sheets, i.e. “Classy N Rachet” women.”

Trap Beckham intends to carry his current momentum into full-blown super-stardom with Happy Belated. Among his collection of dynamic party hits is the wildly popular “Birthday B*tch,” which has over 17 million streams to date and is a known favorite of celebrities, such as LeBron James, Kylie Jenner, Leslie Jones, Zendaya, Angela Simmons, and most recently, famed actress Halle Berry. The breakout track and millennial birthday anthem was also featured in Season 1 of the critically acclaimed HBO series Insecure (Ep.8).

At 19, Trap Beckham attained success regionally with songs like “Top Of The Line” and “Ohh She Thick,” winning awards and becoming a fixture on the college scene in the southeast. After excessive touring, “The Golden Boy Of The Hood” caught the attention of major labels, eventually signing to Def Jam Recordings. This year, Trap Beckham’s independent hustle led him to join forces with Stevie Stacks Entertainment and EMPIRE to release a series of new music. The young rapper has already been featured in VIBE, XXL, HotNewHipHop and more!

Trap’s musical style of lively, upbeat instrumentation, catchy lyrics, and the ability to create bass-heavy hits at will is reminiscent of southern hip-hop legend Uncle Luke. With Happy Belated on the way, Trap Beckham continues to break through to the masses with an original sound and style that’s undeniably exciting.
