rapper Trapboy Freddy releases his anticipated mixtape Big Trap. Hailing from the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas; Trapboy Freddy made waves with the first single off the tape, “Lil Quita” which took the radio airwaves by storm. The song became a cultural anthem even making a fan out of Erykah Badu, who commissioned Freddy to perform the song at her inaugural birthday party. Also featured on the tape is frequent collaborator and fellow Dallas native Yella Beezy, who Freddy teamed up with earlier this year for their joint project titled I’m My Brother’s Keeper. With production from Monstah Beats, JuJu Made It, J. Oliver and more Big Trap delivers hard hitting 808’s paired with features from the likes of 42 Dugg, Shy Glizzy, Young Dolph and others.
Alongside the release of the mixtape, comes the music video for the Young Dolph assisted track “Gary Payton” (WATCH HERE) in which the rappers play off of the basketball player’s name and marijuana strain named after him.
