We use to meet up at World On Wheels on the weekends and became very close friends all the way up to 6th grade graduation. I also met the homeboy Kemo Six0.This lil dude was loco lol! He swung on one of the teachers in the 4th grade haha! He also lived on the Dime. As I grew the hood became my turf. from 65th and Cimarron where my cousin Steve, Popeye, Baby Slim, And Squeak lived to 4th ave and 60th where my homeboy Ivory, Kev, Ivan, and Edmond lived. At that time CRASH unit started harassing us and profiling us as Rollin Sixty Crips. At that time my street went from 10th Ave to The Dime Blocc. At that time we started calling my apartment building The New Jacc because it had become exactly like the the building in the movie New Jack City. life in my hood was Dangerous and fun at the same time. It went from a lush community to a crack infested neighborhood riddled with drive by shootings and Police Gang Units. I love my hood and all of my experiences! I wouldn’t change a thing! This song is a brief description of daily life in the hood from my perspective in 2024. much love and ReSpeCt to my brother Yum, Meka, Trent, Manny, AD, TC, Shanna, Blinky, Ren, Ray Shug, Choc, Sharice, Derrick Brock, Cleton & Necy Johnson, Baby G Bob, Mike, Easy, Howard, Jocelyn, Charly, Marve, and all the homies and home girls. Love y’all!
