6ix9ine Released from Jail with Strict Conditions
6ix9ine is out of jail after serving time for probation violations, but he’s not off the hook yet. The rapper was released from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center on December 12 with a one-year probation extension, home confinement, electronic monitoring, and several other conditions. One of the key rules: he must hold down a full-time “lawful” job—something that could be tough given his career as a rapper.
The rapper was sentenced to 45 days in jail in November after multiple violations, including testing positive for meth, going to Las Vegas without permission, and failing drug tests. Judge Paul Engelmayer criticized 6ix9ine for breaking the rules, warning that harsher sentencing could follow if he messes up again.
6ix9ine’s probation stems from his 2019 conviction for racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking. His recent legal issues also come as he signed a new contract with Kartel Music Group, which includes clauses against legal trouble and online beefs. It’s unclear how this will affect the deal.
