New Orleans rapper Dee-1 is excited to release his latest video for the lead single “Street Villains” off his new album Slingshot David, which is available for download. Set in one of the cultures most political forums, “the barbershop,” Dee-1 asks how to fight the many issues plaguing the black community: The Drugs Dealers, The Uncle Toms or Institutional Racism.

Previously to this video release, Dee-1 visited SiriusXM’s Sway In The Morning Show to promote the album. While there, he conducted an in-depth interview discussing his journey within the music industry, which he narrates in Slingshot David; his relationship with Lupe Fiasco, as well as dropped many gems that moved callers to tears.

To cap off the morning, Dee-1 turned into a “Man on Fire” when he rose to the occasion and demolished the infamous “The 5 Fingers of Death.” With excitement and versatility, Dee-1 approached the mic with so much confidence as DJ Wonder threw everything he had making him the “People’s Champ.”

Dee-1 just wrapped up the video for his new single “Love Always Wins” featuring Sevyn Streeter. The two shot the video in LA and will be released in a few weeks.
