Riding high from the surge of momentum and acclaim generated by his seminal 2021 mixtape Trench Baby, Lil Zay Osama shares a new video with his hometown cohort G-Herbo.
The Chicago natives link up for the pain-packed track where each of them reflect on beating the odds stacked against them in the streets and living to tell the story. It’s a stand-out amongst new tracks that harken back to the “pain music” Zay originally gained attention from in his earliest stages, as well as the central theme of the Trench Baby project.
Scenes in the video cut from the church to the crib and back to the streets that made them who they are now. The video is a continuation of Trench Baby which arrived back in March with features from Lil Tjay, Jackboy, and Doe Boy. The mixtape was covered by the likes of XXL, Pitchfork, FADER, COMPLEX, and more.
