Nicki Minaj Announces Release Date for “Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded” Deluxe
Nicki Minaj has revealed when fans can expect the deluxe edition of her hit album Pink Friday 2, titled Gag City Reloaded.
On Monday (August 26), the Queen Barb took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting a series of photos with her husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.
The slideshow showcased Nicki Minaj looking fabulous in bikinis and snuggling with her man, along with some potential cover art for the deluxe album, which is set to drop on September 13.
She captioned the post: “9.13.24 #GagCityRELOADED THE DELUXE ALBUM.”
While Nicki hasn’t confirmed the tracklist for Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded yet, she definitely stirred up some buzz with a bold statement on X (formerly Twitter).
“Well, Barbz- Didn’t really want to have to speak on this but I just can’t stay quiet about it any longer,” she told her 28.1 million followers.
“Last night, I recorded what will probably be your favorite song on the deluxe. It will immediately go into your TOP 5 of the entire PF2 era. OH MY FREAKING GOODNESSWDRFFHJKGV.”
She also hinted at a big collaboration, saying in another post: “WHOA […] THE VERSE I JUST GOT BACK FOR #GagCityRELOADED the DELUXE ALBUM.”
Last week, Nicki teased some unreleased tracks during an Instagram Live session, including collabs with Drake and the late Juice WRLD.
After giving a sneak peek of the Juice WRLD track, she asked her viewers: “So, the question is: do you guys think I should put the Juice World song on the deluxe? It would be incredible for me I think to have Juice WRLD on this album.”
“Because before he passed, that’s what we were talking about,” Nicki said. “He recorded a bunch of stuff when he was in my studio but I don’t like to exploit people and people’s deaths and stuff like that.”
A few days later, Nicki seemed to answer her own question by announcing that Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded will feature only artists from her label, Heavy On It.
