R&B songstress Journey Montana shares her first music video of 2024. Questioning the validity of her loving relationship in the Borleone-directed visual for โLet It Go,โ a highlight track from Journeyโs sophomore EP, Stargirl.
With the kind of emotional transparency that leaves no room for mistaking how she feels, Journey contemplates throwing in the towel on love. Her honey-tinged vocals effortlessly float atop the beat, underlined by a sing-songy delivery that makes for the perfect breakup anthem.
The video โ which made its global broadcast premiere on both MTV and BET โ captures the final moments before disaster, when it feels like the spark is gone and thereโs a noticeable absence of emotional support from your significant other. In that vulnerable space, Journey begs the question whether or not she should let her relationship go. Watch above.
Stargirl, out now via 10K Projects, was the perfect bookend to a landmark year for Journey Montana. The 8-song set received press praise from media outlets such as BET, Essence, and YouKnowIGotSoul to name a few.
