Lil Baby Mocks the Police & Offers Security Guard $200,000
Lil Baby got arrested in Las Vegas on Monday (August 26) for allegedly having a concealed firearm without a permit. Initially, details about the arrest were scarce, but TMZ dropped a video of the incident on Wednesday (August 28).
In the footage, the “Emotionally Scarred” rapper was seen trying to bribe a security guard with $20,000 just to make a phone call. “You got a phone?” he asked, then called someone off-camera to come over. Lil Baby went on, “I’ll give you [$20,000] to call this number for me … Aye, security — the Black guy — call this number for me. They’re locking me up for a gun, but I got a license.”
At one point, he told the security guard, “Security, f**k your job. I’ll give you [$200,000] a year. I swear to God, security,” he said at one point. “I’ll give you [$200,000] a year. You don’t make [$200,000] here.”
He was also seen trying to convince the officers to let him go because he had a flight to catch. “We came here from LA for [James Harden’s] birthday. I got a show tonight,” he said.
“Take my pants down. Y’all [better] search me good. If I got to jail with a gun, y’all n**gas gon’ die,” he added. “Check me good. I got a gun in my nuts… Y’all let me in that car, I’ma shoot myself in the head.”
Shortly after his arrest, lawyers Drew Findling and David Chesnoff released a statement saying, “To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon Permit. On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”
Lil Baby was released from jail after posting a $5,000 bail.
